Passport Adventures: Travelling with Twins

We’ve been travelling together since my twins were just one years old. At the time, the idea of navigating airports, luggage, and nap schedules any earlier felt a little daunting – so we started small. Our first few trips were UK-based, exploring the beauty of Cornwall and Devon.

Travel has always been close to my heart. As a child of Lebanese and Italian parents, I grew up surrounded by culture, movement, and family trips abroad and I knew I wanted to pass that love for exploring the world on to my girls.

Their first overseas trip was to Gran Canaria at two and a half, followed not long after by Lanzarote. That same year, we celebrated Christmas in France, where we’re lucky to have a family apartment in a ski resort. At just four years old, my girls went to ski school every morning for two hours – I was so proud watching them learn and grow in a totally new environment. We’re planning to return again soon, and this time we’re prepared as we’ve ben having a few private ski lessons in the UK, to help them build confidence before we hit the slopes again.

For a long time, I put off the idea of solo travel. It just felt too overwhelming – the logistics, the responsibility, the unknowns. But as the girls have gotten older things just feel less stressful now. In all honesty, I handed my worries over to God and took a leap of faith and we enjoyed our first solo holiday overseas, just me and the girls, last year!

We went to Ikos Aria, and I chose this resort because in my previous blogging life, I’d seen so many glowing reviews from other parenting bloggers. The resorts always looked luxurious, safe, and family-friendly and honestly, they were everything I hoped for and more. So much so, we’ve booked to go back again – deluxe style this time!
