Treehouse London

As a mum of twins, time away from the little ones is a rare luxury, but when I get the chance to stay away, it has to be somewhere special. Over the past few years, I’ve been lucky enough to visit London’s Treehouse Hotel a few times.

A Room with a View (Literally)

Every time I’ve stayed, it’s been in the Lookout King room. And let me tell you, it never disappoints. The view alone is spectacular, stretching across London’s skyline; a perfect backdrop for some much-needed me-time. As a mum, good sleep is a precious commodity, especially in hotels where unfamiliar beds can mean restless nights. But here, I’ve managed to get some genuinely decent shut-eye (except for one noisy night during renovations).

In-Room Facilities: Comfort and Convenience

The LOOKOUT KING room isn’t just about the view; it’s packed with thoughtful facilities that make your stay that little bit easier and more relaxing:

  • Super-comfy king-size bed with quality linens that feel like a hug after a long day.
  • Mood lighting and blackout curtains to help you drift off peacefully.
  • A Nespresso coffee machine and tea-making facilities, perfect for that morning caffeine fix or a calming cuppa in the evening.
  • Mini-fridge stocked with a selection of drinks (great for keeping a bottle of water or your favourite snacks close).
  • High-speed Wi-Fi, ideal for catching up on emails or streaming your favourite shows.
  • Spacious bathroom with rainfall shower, luxury toiletries, and fluffy towels.
  • Smart TV with plenty of streaming options so you can unwind with your favourite films or series.
  • A handy wooden tree key — a quirky, eco-friendly touch that’s also your lift pass.

These little details add up to a stay that feels both indulgent and comfortable, helping you switch off and recharge.

Location Perks: What’s Close By?

One of the best things about the Treehouse Hotel is its prime location in Marylebone, a charming and vibrant part of London. Here’s what’s close by, making it super easy to explore or just enjoy a leisurely stroll:

  • Regent’s Park: just a 10-minute walk away, perfect for a peaceful morning walk or a picnic if you’re feeling outdoorsy.
  • Oxford Street & Bond Street: great for a bit of retail therapy, only about 15 minutes on foot or a quick cab ride.
  • Baker Street: the home of Sherlock Holmes, with plenty of quirky shops and cafes to discover.
  • Great transport links: Baker Street and Marylebone stations are close, making it easy to hop on the tube or train for sightseeing.

Whether you want to soak up some culture or just wander through London’s stylish streets, you’re perfectly placed at the Treehouse.

The Renovation Bump

On one visit, the hotel was undergoing some refurbishment, and I was placed in a room right under the restaurant. Let’s just say, the sounds of footsteps and early morning scaffolding workmen wasn’t what I had hoped for! But I took it in stride and happily returned once renovations were complete, ready to enjoy the Treehouse in full swing again.

Check-In with a Sweet Twist

Check-in is a treat in itself, happening on the 15th floor – yes, you read that right! You’re welcomed by friendly staff and a wall of pick-and-mix sweets to help yourself to (although, fair warning: none of the sweets were vegan, so if that’s a dietary need, pack your own stash!). Plus, you get a charming little wooden tree to use as your lift key – a cute and quirky touch that fits the whole Treehouse vibe perfectly.

Dining: Something for Everyone

I’ve tried all the dining options on site: Madera at TreehouseThe Nest, and even Pizzeria Mozza (which sadly closed). Each spot serves delicious food with thoughtful attention to dietary requirements, so whether you’re vegan, gluten-free – you’ll find something to love.

Top Tips for Your Treehouse Stay

  1. Book the LOOKOUT KING room: the view is worth it, and the room is spacious enough to relax and unwind properly.
  2. Plan a ‘self-care moment’: whether it’s a rain shower, a room-service treat, or just some uninterrupted me-time. Trust me, you deserve it.
  3. Explore the hotel’s rooftop spaces: for great photo ops and a breath of fresh air.
  4. If travelling solo, take advantage of the early check-in or late check-out options to extend your ‘me-time’ as much as possible.
  5. Don’t forget to pack a cosy jumper or shawl: London evenings can get chilly even in summer, and the rooftop lounges are lovely but breezy.

Final Thoughts

Taking time out as a mum of twins isn’t always easy, but when you do, making the experience special is what counts. London’s Treehouse Hotel has given me a welcome escape, a comfortable bed, and some incredible views to recharge my batteries. If you’re after a stylish city staycation with a bit of magic and a lot of heart, this is the spot.

Have you ever stayed somewhere that made you feel truly rested and cared for? I’d love to hear your recommendations!
