A year ago, on 15th July 2025, I hit publish on the very first post here on Raising Twins. At the time, I had no idea where this little blog would take me. I simply knew I wanted a creative space that was mine again – a place to document our adventures, share my experiences, and write from the heart.
Whilst I’m not new to blogging, this little space here at Raising Twins is.
I actually started blogging back in 2014 and loved every minute of it. It was my outlet – a place where I shared the funny realities of motherhood, navigated the heartbreak of a painful breakup, and documented my journey into single motherhood. I was lucky enough to work with some incredible brands and publications along the way, and alongside blogging I also freelanced in social media.
The reality, though, was that it simply didn’t pay the bills.
As a single mum raising twins, I needed stability and security. In 2018, I stepped away from blogging and into the corporate world. That decision gave me exactly what I needed at that stage of my life, and I’m still in that role today. Looking back, without that job I wouldn’t have been able to build the career I have now, and I’m incredibly grateful for it.
That said, I’ve never been someone who can just do one thing. I’ve always been the type of person with lots of plates spinning – I genuinely enjoy being productive and having different creative outlets.
After investing so much into my career over the past eight years, I realised I wanted something that was just for me. Content creation has always been part of who I am. I love writing. I love creating. I love helping brands build communities, managing social media, collaborating with businesses and telling stories that connect with people.
It was only a matter of time before blogging called me back.
So, a year ago, I took everything I’d learned from my first blogging journey and poured it into Raising Twins and I’m beyond grateful that I did.
This little corner of the internet has become a place where I can document the memories I’m making with my children, share the lessons I’m learning along the way, and hopefully inspire other mums to embrace intentional living. Watching it continue to grow has been such a blessing.
It has also opened doors I never imagined. I’ve been given opportunities to work alongside some incredibly talented women in an industry I once only dreamed of being part of – but I’ll save more about that for another post.
If you’ve stumbled across my blog and you’re reading this, thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to stop by, read my posts and send such lovely messages. Every week I check my blog stats to see how many people have been visiting, and honestly, I’m still blown away that people choose to spend a few minutes reading what I write. I appreciate every single one of you more than you’ll ever know.
Everything I share comes from the heart. My hope has always been to offer value through my own experiences, encourage others to live more intentionally, and remind mums that they’re not alone in the chaos, joy and beauty of everyday life.
Over the coming months, you can expect plenty more UK days out, exploring the Cotswolds, solo mum weekends, family travel adventures and, of course, the everyday moments that make up our life together.
I’ve also finally taken the leap and started Raising Twins on YouTube.
I’ve flirted with the idea for years. I even gave it a go back in 2015/16, but I never stuck with it. Since beginning coaching and strengthening my faith in God, I’ve been working through my confidence and the mental barriers that have held me back for so long.
I’ve decided the time is now.
I’ve officially filmed my first piece of content, and my very first YouTube video is ready to go live this week. The anticipation of hitting publish feels a little scary, but mostly I’m just excited for this next chapter. I really hope you’ll come along for the journey.
Here’s to another year of making memories, embracing new opportunities, and trusting God’s plan every step of the way.
Thank you for being here.
